Description

The thirteenth edition of WhistlePig's legendary Boss Hog series, The Golden Pharaoh, is a Straight Rye Whiskey aged in New American Oak and Egyptian Black Honey barrels. Bottled at 102.6–105 proof (51.3–52.5% ABV), each barrel is bottled individually, so every bottle carries its own proof, ABV and barrel number on the label.

The nose opens with brown sugar, cinnamon and toasted almond. The palate brings molasses and light honey alongside baking spice and black pepper, closing on a soft finish of toasted almond and brown sugar oatmeal. Finished with a hand-cast pewter topper in the shape of a golden pharaoh, making it a prized piece for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

The Boss Hog series has earned Best in Show at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (2017), Best Rye Whiskey at SFWSC (2021), Best of The Best from Robb Report (2019, 2020 and 2022), and was named Most Collectible Luxury American Whiskey by VinePair in 2024. Hand bottled on the WhistlePig Farm in Shoreham, Vermont.
