Forty-one Highland single malts, some matured as long as 20 years, form the backbone of Usquaebach 'Old-Rare' Blended Scotch Whisky, rounded out with two grain whiskies from the same region. Malt whisky accounts for 85% of the blend, and the result is bottled at 43% ABV in a 700 ml format with a rich amber color.
The whisky arrives in a traditional porcelain flagon that reflects the older customs of Scotch bottling. On the nose there's cedar wood, cracked pepper, cr\u00e8me br\u00fbl\u00e9e and pipe tobacco, while the palate turns toward coffee beans, white chocolate and pine forest. The finish stays refined, closing with warm spice and malted barley.
