    About Crown Royal

Crown Royal began in 1939 as a gift for King George VI and Queen Elizabeth of England to mark their royal visit to Canada, with 600 blends trialed before the final blend of roughly 50 whiskies was chosen and presented in a cut-glass decanter inside a purple bag with gold stitching. The whisky reached the United States in the 1960s and went on to become the top-selling Canadian whisky. Every drop is still made to the same standards set at the outset.
