Thomas S. Moore Cabernet Sauvignon Cask Finished Bourbon is one of three releases from Barton 1792 Distillery's new "ultra-premium" brand. Moore created the distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, today known as Barton 1792, in 1889, but it closed due to Prohibition in 1920. Barton's distinctive high-rye bourbon mash bill is used in this bourbon. The bourbon in this Extended Cask Finish series is aged in fresh, charred oak barrels for an unspecified number of years before being finished in a secondary cask for 1-3 years.
