Description
The Last Drop 50 Year Old "Double Matured" Blended Scotch Whisky is built from more than fifty Scotch whiskies. The blend spent its first 30 years maturing before a selected portion was moved into Spanish Hogshead casks that had previously held Oloroso sherry.
That second maturation ran for two more decades in a traditional Lowlands warehouse, adding richness and depth to the blend. Bottling took place in late 2015 at 51.8% ABV, with a release of just 898 bottles.
The profile is warm and complex, with hints of oak, spice and dried fruit leading to a smooth, lasting finish. Presented in a 750 ml bottle.
