  • The Dalmore 43 Year Old Graham’s 1952 Single Harvest Tawny Port Cask - Barbank

Description

As with fine vintages wine and ports, rare single malt whiskies may form a slight haze or deposit. This natural occurrence - a sign of absolute quality, proof of long maturation in oak wood and gentle non chill filtration - confirms the whiskies’ complex character.

The Aroma

Forest fruits, plums, sugared almonds, cacao, and star anise. Rounded with natural vanilla, soft caramel, dried apricots, and baking spices

The Palate

Plum compote, passion fruit, marzipan, and red and black liquorice. Complemented with Alphonso mangos, and Morello cherries

The Finish

Iced ginger cake, leather, sweet tobacco, poached pears, and soft wood spices

This whisky received a delicate enhancement in the rarest of Port casks, acquiring antique notes and an abundance of rich dark fruits. Absolutely magical.
