Virginia Distillery Company makes single malt whisky from a mash bill of 100% malted barley using fresh spring water from the Blue Ridge mountains. Distillation takes place in hand-hammered copper pot stills imported from Scotland. The whiskies age a minimum of four years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and are finished in casks sourced from around the world and from Virginia, and the distillery partners with breweries nationwide for beer barrels.
