Five Origin Select gathers rums from five Caribbean sources into a single blend, with components aged up to 15 years. At its center sits an 11-15 year old Guyanese rum from the Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still, the only still of its type still in operation, joined by rums chosen from Trinidad, Barbados, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. The 750 ml bottle is filled at 46% ABV, or 92 proof.
The nose leads with sweet molasses and vanilla, backed by tropical fruit and spice. On the palate there's crème brûlée, hazelnut, baking spice, orange zest and stewed stone fruit, while cacao, vanilla, peppercorn and toffee carry through the finish for a smooth, rounded flavor. No sugar, coloring or flavoring is added.
