Description

Shakmat 23 Year Old Armenian Brandy is built from indigenous Armenian grape varieties — Kangun, Kakhet, Garan Dmak and Rkatsiteli — then aged 23 years in Caucasian oak. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 750 ml format, it is a blend drawn from Armenia's winemaking tradition.

The aroma and palate run deep and layered: dried fruits in the form of plums and raisins, walnuts, cloves, tobacco, molasses, vanilla, oak and a touch of black pepper. Long oak maturation shows in the darker, drier notes that sit behind the fruit.

Production was limited to 3,500 bottles. A portion of proceeds supports the Armenia Tree Project and its reforestation work.
