Scapa The Orcadian Single Malt Scotch Whisky Glansa (Batch GL01) is matured in American oak casks, then finished in casks that previously held smoky, peated whisky. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 750 ml bottle.
The double-cask approach carries the smooth, creamy sweet character of Scapa single malt, with the smoke coming from the peated-whisky casks used for the finish rather than from the malt itself.
Scapa is made by a small team of artisans working alongside a Master Distiller, using traditional methods perfected over generations. The distillery is one of the last remaining manually operated sites, manned 24 hours a day in successive shifts.
