Russell's Reserve Single Rickhouse - Camp Nelson E (2025) is a barrel-proof bourbon bottled at 128 proof (64% ABV), the highest proof released by Russell's Reserve to date. The barrels came from a small batch pulled from the fifth floor of the Camp Nelson E rickhouse, and the whiskey is non-chill filtered. 750 ml.
The aroma opens with vanilla, caramel, and maple, then moves toward figs, dried orange peel, cola, and toasted oak. The palate shows dried fruit, cherry, and mint, followed by graham cracker and nutmeg spice. A warm, long-lasting finish carries sweet oak, molasses, and hints of black pepper.
Camp Nelson E, built in 1946, is one of five original rickhouses on the property. Sitting deepest on the grounds and surrounded by trees, it holds a cooler climate that shapes the character of the bourbon aged inside. This is the fourth edition in the Single Rickhouse series.
