Description

BOTTLED IN BOND STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY

 Jeff Duckhorn - Master Distiller

This rare whiskey was aged in the temperate climate of the Northern California coast and bottled under the strict tenets of the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. Each release can only be made from barrels we produced within a six-month time span, giving them true seasonal variance batch over batch. Collectible and one-of-a-kind, these batches will never be replicated and are ever-changing. This is the purest expression of Redwood Empire’s craft.

The Redwood Empire stretches from San Francisco to Humboldt Bay and onto the Oregon border. The region is home to majestic coastal redwoods, some more than 2,000 years old. The name Grizzly Beast is a combination of two trees: The Grizzly Giant, and a giant Sequoia located in Yosemite National Park that has over two billion leaves, and the Mattole Beast, a massive 375-foot coastal redwood located in Humboldt Redwoods State Park.
