Description
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs 2012 is the tête de cuvée of a historic Chardonnay house, a floral and pure Champagne presented in a 750 ml bottle at 12.5% ABV. The cuvée was first introduced in 1998 with the 1993 vintage by Cellar Master Hervé Deschamps, in honor of the upcoming Millennium celebration.
The grapes come from two vineyard sites, Bourons-Leroy and Bourons-de-Midi, whose south and southeast exposure creates ideal ripening conditions. The result is a rare and exceptional expression of Chardonnay in the Maison Perrier-Jouët style.
Crisp and fresh on the palate, with distinctive aromas of white flowers and subtle overtones of honey, pear, pineapple and candied lemon. The profile is balanced, with ripe fruit, subtle oak and soft tannins leading to a long, silken, elegant and refined finish.
