Description

Peloton de la Muerte’s flavor profile is defined by creamy caramel and herbaceous notes from the agave while offering beautiful, subtle smoke from the wood that is used to cook the agave to deliver the most balanced mezcal for cocktail creation. 41% ABV.

Pelotón de la Muerte is a very clean, well-balanced mezcal that is produced with traditional methods in Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca, which is also known as “The World’s Capital of Mezcal.”

The label of Pelotón de la Muerte, which means Brigade of Death, was the flag used by the insurgents during the Mexican Revolution who called themselves “the squadron of death for the suffering Hidalgo”, who tried to enact revenge for the death of the priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, the founding father of Mexico’s independence.

While many of the mezcals on the market possess overpowering smokiness that make it difficult to drink more than one cocktail, Pelotón de la Muerte has one of the most balanced and quaffable flavor profiles out there.
