Description

Oban 15 Year Old Port Cask Finish is a US-exclusive single malt built around the coastal character of its harbor-town distillery, one of the oldest in Scotland. The spirit spends 15 years in American oak hogsheads, then moves into selected Ruby Port casks, where red fruit works its way into the whisky and shapes an intricate dry finish. The bottle is 750 ml at 52.1% ABV.

The nose is mellow and maritime, with fruity white wine, a trace of sea breeze and raspberry. On the palate the texture turns creamy and smooth, carrying honeyed sweetness, juicy red fruit, salt and peppery spice that builds toward a dry white pepper close. Drink it neat or loosen it with a splash of water. A limited US-exclusive release.

    About Oban

Oban has been distilling single malt Scotch since 1794 from one of Scotland's oldest and smallest distilleries, set between granite cliffs and the sea on the west coast. Brothers John and Hugh Stevenson built a brewery and then a distillery beside the bay, and the town of Oban grew up around them.
