Description

Maestro Dobel 50 Cristalino Extra Añejo — ONORA: Laca de Olinalá pairs a rare extra añejo cristalino with a bottle finished by hand. For this edition, Dobel and Mexico City design studio Onora commissioned multi-generational artisan Adolfo Escudero García to handcraft the stoppers, hand-etching and lacquering fine wood in the Laca de Olinalá folk-art tradition of his home village, combined with modern design technique.

The tequila is made from 100% blue agave grown on a family-owned, single estate in the volcanic lowlands of Tequila, Mexico. The agave is slow-cooked and slow double-distilled in copper pot stills to take only the heart of the distillate, then aged in American and Eastern European oak barrels and put through a refinement process that leaves the spirit clear, with steel and platinum reflections. Bottled at 750 ml, 40% ABV (80 proof), and suited to sipping neat or on the rocks.
