Made from a 100% rye mash bill, Lock Stock & Barrel 21 Year Straight Rye Whiskey spent more than two decades in new charred American oak. The whiskey was distilled and barreled in May 1999, maturing through long cold-weather cycles that built viscosity, structure, and concentration. Double distillation in copper pot stills and a bottling strength of 111 proof (55.5% ABV) give it weight without losing definition. The 750 ml bottle was named Best of Class Rye Whiskey at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Treacle toffee, orange peel, and baking spice open the nose. The palate is full-bodied and rich, layering caramel, coconut, and cocoa against firm rye spice, while the finish runs long with leather and oak.
