The Kraken is a legendary goliath sea beast that lurks in the dark depths of the open ocean, preying on whole ships for meals. According to one legend, a ship carrying a cargo of rum was attacked, with all casks lost save for 1 that floated to the surface covered in black ink. Inspired by the tale is this delicious blend of Caribbean rums, with tasting notes of molasses, vanilla, and cinnamon & nutmeg spice, all while appearing as a deep ink-black. Serve in any of your favorite Rum based cocktails.
One of the fastest-growing rum brands, The Kraken® is a Caribbean rum, made with secret spices. It gets its name from the legendary sea monster rumored to have attacked a ship carrying spiced rum in Caribbean waters. The Kraken monster was known for its deadly tentacles, razor-sharp teeth, and insatiable appetite. To both honor and appease the beast, the lost barrels of rum were renamed The Kraken.
