Hennessy Paradis was blended by Maurice Fillioux in 1979, built from eaux-de-vie chosen for their suppleness, lightness and round shape in the glass. The result is a cognac with a silky frame and finely nuanced aromatics that stay in balance from start to finish. Its coppery gold colour reflects the long years the spirit spent resting in old casks. This 700 ml bottling is the Lunar New Year 2025 edition, with artwork by Shuting Qiu, and is bottled at 40% ABV.
The nose opens on jasmine and honeysuckle, carried by concentrated red fruit and fine spice. On the palate the texture is graceful and smooth, moving into a deep, flavourful finish that lingers. Honey, dried flowers, truffles and gentle spices fold together, while cinnamon, cardamom and preserved fruits lead into dried rose petals and sweet briar jam. Alongside these, the character shows dried fruit, oak, vanilla and a touch of caramel across the smooth close.
