Many of the medium- to full-bodied rums in the blend pass through activated charcoal filtration before they rest in oak barrels. After aging, the rum is finished in sherry casks, which round out the texture. The nose is definitive but finely balanced, with cinnamon, dates, dark berries and toasted oak. The palate is rich and mellow, showing raisins, apricots and baking spices, with a touch of butterscotch across a warm, lingering finish.
