Description
Facundo Eximo is a 10 year old rum built from a blend of medium-to-full-bodied dark rums aged in fine oak barrels. The name comes from the Latin eximo, meaning "to free" — a reference to how the Facundo Rum Collection frees rum from preconceived notions and moves beyond the category.
It is the only one of the four Facundo rums blended before aging. That order of operations puts the balance of flavor and aroma in the hands of the Master Blender first, with nature contributing through at least ten years in barrel — a process carrying the knowledge passed down through generations of Master Blenders. More than a decade in white oak barrels gives the rum its smooth, rich finish.
The nose shows toffee, caramel and walnut. The palate is exceedingly smooth, with deep vanilla and cocoa and a hint of smoke, carried on a round, full-bodied texture and a long, rich finish. 750 ml, 40% ABV.
