Bottled at 104 proof with no water added, Fuerte Reposado is the first cask-strength Reposado to come out of Destilería El Pandillo. It rests in American White Oak ex-Bourbon barrels, which adds a new layer to the profile familiar from Fuerte Blanco while keeping the artisanal, traditional character intact.
The agave is fermented using a mix of methods—wooden and stainless steel tanks, both with and without fibers—which builds unusual depth. Sweet cooked agave and minerality lead, followed by light oak, baking spices, and caramel from the barrel, with faint citrus and a peppery close. At 52% ABV in a 750 ml bottle, it still drinks smooth and creamy.
