Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Brut is a prestige cuvée named for Dom Thierry Ruinart, the erudite Benedictine monk who foresaw the potential of "wine with bubbles" at the end of the 17th century. The first Dom Ruinart cuvée, a Blanc de Blancs, was developed in 1959 as an ode to the great chardonnays and released in 1966.
The blend is 100% chardonnay drawn exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards. Chardonnay, the soul of Ruinart, gives the wine its elegance, purity and aromatic freshness, and the cuvée matures slowly for 10 years in the Crayères. The result is a dynamic, sculpted sparkling wine that expresses the full purity of the grape.
Taste and aroma: balanced, with a smooth texture and subtle notes that reflect the craftsmanship behind the bottle. 750 ml, 12.5% ABV.
