Description

Dom Pérignon Vintage 2008 Plénitude 2 comes from a growing season known as the "Late Champenois Miracle," when difficult spring and summer conditions gave way to ideal September weather and grapes of exceptional ripeness and balance. Extended time on the way to its second plénitude has given the cuvée added substance, length and complexity.

The palate unfolds with enveloping elegance: candied lemon, bergamot, white peach, cocoa and roasted coffee across a silky, vibrant frame with a solar, slightly iodized presence. The acid structure weaves together with subtle bitter and umami hints for depth and refinement.

As noted by the house, Plénitude 2 shows well with seafood such as langoustine and scallops, and with veal and Jerusalem artichoke; rosemary, basil and bright citrus accents open up its breadth. The 2008 was declared in 2018, the year of the handover between Chefs de Cave Richard Geoffroy and Vincent Chaperon. Contains sulphites, as all champagnes do. Store in a cool, dark place for aging potential. 750 ml, 12.5% ABV.

It unfurls like the Kanagawa wave, scintillating, radiating, lilting. Candied lemon, bergamot, white peach, cocoa, roasted coffee. Its freshness is vibrant as well as silky, with a solar presence, slightly iodized.

    About Dom Perignon

Dom Pérignon pursues harmony as a source of emotion, working within the constraints of its own creative process. The house releases only vintage wine, bearing witness to the harvest of a single year whatever the challenges, even to the point of not declaring a vintage at all.
