About Crown Royal

Crown Royal is Canada's best-selling Canadian whisky, created in 1939 by Samuel Bronfman of Seagram to mark the royal visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, an occasion reflected in its crown-shaped bottle and purple velvet bag. The brand is now owned by Diageo and distilled in Gimli, Manitoba. Its blends are assembled by master blenders working from dozens of Canadian whiskies.
