The spirit spends its maturation in refill and re-charred American oak before a finishing period in casks seasoned with Jamaican pot still rum, a combination that brings rounded sweetness alongside peppery wood spice. Bottled at 58% ABV (116 proof) in a 750 ml bottle.
The nose opens fresh and sweetly fruited, with lemon zest and white grape backed by pink grapefruit and mango. On the palate the texture is creamy and full despite a light to medium body, carrying a malty sweetness reminiscent of homemade rum toffee with exotic touches of spiced pineapple and green banana. The finish turns spicy and drying, with crisp, clean oak. Pour neat in a whisky glass, or add a dash of water.
