Bruxo Espadín Joven No. 1 is an unaged mezcal made from Espadín agave, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750 ml format. As a joven, it goes into the bottle fresh after distillation, with no time in wood to shift its character.
The agave is pit-roasted in the traditional manner and the spirit is distilled in copper pot stills, a combination that keeps the bright, vegetal side of the plant intact alongside its smoke. The No. 1 designation marks this as Bruxo's flagship bottling of the Espadín varietal.
Tasting notes: roasted agave and smoke lead, followed by citrus, herbaceous tones and a mineral edge.
