Description

Bottled at 53.5% ABV in a 750 ml bottle, Blanton's Gold Edition builds on the single barrel tradition that Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee established in 1984. Lee's approach took shape during his early years working alongside Colonel Albert B. Blanton, and that lineage of barrel-by-barrel selection carries through to this expression.

The nose opens with spicy rye and tobacco before moving into caramel, honey, dark fruit and citrus. Those same elements return on the palate, where rye, tobacco and honey lead the way, while oak and vanilla stretch the finish out long and harmonious.
