Bardstown Bourbon Company Lochs of Jura Barrel Finish is a blend of straight bourbon and rye whiskeys that spends 32 months finishing in single malt Scotch casks from the Isle of Jura. The cask mix is 84% ex-bourbon and 16% ex-sherry, and the whiskey is bottled at 104 proof (52% ABV) in a 750 ml bottle.
The long secondary maturation leaves a clear mark on the blend. Oak runs through the whiskey, carrying a distinct Scotch influence from the Jura casks and subtle sherry notes from the smaller share of ex-sherry wood.
