About Ardbeg

Ardbeg was established in 1815 on Islay, the Scottish island known as the Queen of the Hebrides, where soft water, fertile soil and deep peat have long supported distinctive single malt production. The distillery sits by a rocky cove on the island's wild southern coast. Its knotwork and familiar A come from Celtic heritage, echoed in the 8th century Kildalton Cross a few miles north of the distillery.
